Block Party

Well, it's official: The Pizza Luce Block Party rules. There's nothing like stumbling around with your neighbors in the summer sun while watching one great band play right after another, for free, no less, and smoking cigarettes wherever you want. The party features the return of our favorite dance-hall sleazeball Har Mar Superstar. Sadly, the showcase also has a bittersweet element, with this being reportedly the last show from local good-time heavy metalheads the Midnight Evils, so catch them while you can. Lili's Burlesque Revue will peform between bands from 6:00 p.m. onward. FREE. Noon to 10:00 p.m. --Christina Schmitt
