Nada Surf & Rilo Kiley live show downloads.

Bradley and his MP3 recorder have made waves again... catch these two wonderful bands live at a show in Vermont last Saturday night. He is a man under cloak and dagger... getting busted with his digital camera he lost a song, but the recording is good and I expect many more great things from Bradley. Check out the set lists which are available for download at Bradley's Almanac.

From Brent in Iraq

Hey everybody, Brent here. Sorry it's been so long since I wrote last, but we have been working long days. It is not rare that I am up on my feet for 18-20 hours some days. It seems like there is always work to be done somewhere. We continue to build and improve our little home. They have started building the 3 person trailors for people to live in. They are being worked on by outside contractors who seem to take breaks more than they work, They must be union. Anyway, it looks like a long process and my company probable won't be in them by the time we leave. But like most things around here, we are doing it as much for the next unit here as we are doing it for ourselves.
If anyone has been wondering if it gets as hot here as everyone says, yes it does! Its only May and we are already at 115, and it's only getting hotter. Luckily the new humvees we have do have an a/c system, it's not great, but it helps, the same with our tents.
Billie Jo is going to be mad, because when she asked me what was new, I forgot to tell her we had some visiters this week. Dean Cane from Superman and Amanda Swisten from American Wedding came to our camp for pictures and autographs. It was pretty lame but it is the thought that counts. At least they were willing to risk comming to a combat zone to see some troops. It was at least funny to see all the senior leadership of the battalion get all jittery for the VIPs.
Well I have to get my nose back to the grindstone, hopefully I have some left when I get home.
Just know that I am well and think of you all often. Feel free to write back as it is always nice to hear from everyone back home.
Brent

P.S. Give a haji a bottle of water and a Maxim magazine and he'll let you ride his ass!

Wolverine - It looks like rhubarb is a vegetable. And Cyclops, the leaves are poisonous. :)

A Nerd Debate!

Here is an article posted on Startribune.com concerning George Lucas' Star Wars Episode III release of "Revenge of the Sith". I love the technical mumbo-jumbo that these geeks can spill forth during their apparent excitement of having viewed a pre-screening of the new movie due out tomorrow. But of course, I will be at the Oakdale Cinema tonight at midnight watching in awe as I sucking down a Diet Coke with a fist full of Milk Duds.

Inspiration A La Dusty

Well men it's that time again. Pending the gods of
softball permit us to play dispite the rains that are
gonna come. I just think that it needs to be said
that "Yes,.. we are good" but we need to play good as
well as look good doing it. A true class d league
pennent isn't won in a single game. It's ground out
during weeks of sweat, blood, and tears. It's pulled
from us like money from our pockets to pay for beer
and food both before and after the games.(which I
think there should be better deals for ballers) We
have payed the price's, the pulled hammy's, the busted
knee caps (ha ha) the tired lungs deserved of a smoke
after the game. And god dambit we need a win!! So
everybody mentaly prepare yourselves right now, be
ready. I,.... I mean we need a win tonight,... I
wasn't going to tell anyone this until after the
season but I feel that now is the best time I just
hope it doesn't hurt the teams momentum. I have
cancer,..........it's not good I haven't much time.
So win one for me fellers,..... and I'm gay. Like
really gay.
See you guys tonight.

Dusty
